Six Nations Team of the Week
Our very own Emily Scarratt became England Women Rugby's all-time leading point scorer at the weekend and takes her place in this week's Sky Sports Six Nations team of week, alongside team mates Emily Scott and Abby Dow.
The Red Roses have got off to a great start at this years competition. Edging the French 13-19 and thrashing the Scots 0-53. Their next game however will be a tough test against Ireland, who have also had 2 wins out of 2, beating Scotland and Wales.
Let's start with Emily Scarratt, who's hosting our sold out Women's only kicking workshop in Loughborough on the 7th of April. Her Six Nations tournament with England has got off to a flying start. She made history this week, surpassing fellow School of Kicking coach Katy-Daley Mclean, racking up 539 points in her international career so far. Even in the treacherous conditions, she managed to score 13 points with the boot.
The emphatic win against Scotland also earned Emily Scott her place in the TOTW; she "scored some great tries, plus a couple of assists. Showed some creative play and great skills in really tough conditions." (Sky Sports).
Finally a brace of tries for Abby Dow including a mesmerising solo effort, earned her place in the TOTW. "Tough conditions for a winger to play in but was always dangerous with ball in hand and solid in defence." (Sky Sports).
As for the Men's Six nations, players include: Johnny Sexton, Antoine Dupont, who had a cracker against England in their defeat in the opener and expectedly Wales captain, Alun Wyn Jones, who continues to lead the line for the Welsh.
