The search to find the next generation of rugby kicking talent in Great Britain and Ireland will begin at Loughborough University on April 9, 2020.
The Alred Trophy, named after world-renowned kicking coach and author of The Pressure Principle, Dave Alred MBE, has been launched in partnership with online coaching platform the School of Kicking, to unearth the most promising male and female at U18 level from across Great Britain and Ireland
Dave has worked with some of the top kickers in the game, for example, Jonny Wilkinson, Johnny Sexton, George Ford, Ronan O’Gara plus many more, so no pressure!!

Can anyone enter this competition?
The competition is open to all players if you were below the age of 18 on the 1
st of September 2019. If you fit in this category and think you have what it takes, you sign up

What is the competition?
The Alred Trophy combines all players 18 years and below to find the best kicker in the whole of Great Britain and Ireland, with help from Dave Alred MBE.
When is it taking place?
April 9
th, 2020, we look forward to welcoming you and finding our winner.
Where is it taking place?
The competition will take place at 10 am at Loughborough University, Epinal Way, Loughborough, LE11 3TU, UK
Is the competition just for boys?
No. Girls are also welcome to sign up, it’s a competition where girls will compete alongside the boys.
Is goal kicking the only challenge?
Goal kicking will be the main event but, we have 6 different kicking challenges to get involved with and there will be prizes for each.
Can people from different countries enter?
For this event, it’s only open to players from Great Britain and Ireland. We plan to hold international events in the future.
How much does it cost to enter?
To enter it costs £100, we offer lots of giveaways from our partners on the day as well.
What can you win?
As well as being the first-ever Alred Trophy winner and tagged as the best under 18 kicker in Great Britain and Ireland, you will also get a 12-month scholarship to the School of Kicking, plus all the prizes on the day.
